"Cité de l'orgue" of Plaisance du Gers
A Builder's contribution begins with one brick, at a cost of 5€ piece.
You can become a Builder with as many bricks as you wish.
You can renew your contribution as often as you want, and of course encourage all your friends to become builders too !
We offer one free visit to 'Cité de l'Orgue' during the inaugural year, for each brick paid for. One brick = one free visit in the first year.
Donations are placed in a special blocked account opened by the Arbre Association.
The amounts will be paid to the accountant responsible for administering the establishment of 'Cité de l'Orgue'.
If the project is not completed, the donations will be returned to each Builder.
Your name will be engraved into the metal of the pipes which will be singing for you !
Your name – or the name of someone you love – will be engraved into the metal of a pipe of the Monumental Organ, at the heart of the Cité de l'Orgue.
Ars Organorum invented the idea of sponsorship of organ pipes, a tradition that did not exist before the organ of the church of Plaisance-du-Gers was built by Daniel Birouste and his team. Its success set off a new tradition, now adopted by all those who support organ projects and by almost all organ-builders !
But Ars Organorum is the only association which actually engraves sponsor names in the metal of the pipes, so as to ensure a permanent record of this sponsorship over time, and to register your intention in the metal itself. It takes a lot of work, but it gives a real meaning to the organ-builder's work and to your involvement.
Sponsor one or more pipes of the Monumental Organ A PIPE WILL BE SINGING FOR YOU !
Today, sponsorship of the pipes of the Monumental Organ housed by the Cité de l'Orgue of Plaisance-du-Gers has returned to the origins of this great participative movement, so as to provide funding for the work of modernising the Monumental Organ! This work is necessary for integration of new technology that will make it possible to host all people with special needs. People with special needs will be able to play the organ themselves – just as they have been able, for the past ten years and for the first time ever, to play the Monumental Organ of the church of Plaisance-de-Gers (See www.orguesensoriel.com ) And every single person will be able to wander through the forest of mechanisms and 5 000 pipes of the Monumental Organ of the Cité de l'Orgue.
As soon as we have registered your subscription, we will send you a mail to know what we need to engrave on the pipes and after we receive your information, we will send you a certificate stating which pipe or pipes you have sponsored (1 name and surname per pipe).
What is more, to make you a part of the celebration, we will offer you two free visits to the Cité de l'Orgue during its inaugural year, for each pipe you sponsor. One pipe = two free visits during the first year. This visit – unlike any other in the world – will enable every sponsor to view the pipe which carries his or her name, or the name of a person dear to them.
